HICKORY HILLS GOLF CLUB STAFF
Originally from upstate New York, Tim attended and played basketball for Alfred State University where he was inducted in to the 2000 Hall of Fame Class for his athletic and academic accomplishments. After graduation, Tim traveled overseas to play professional basketball in Australia and later went on to become a player/coach with the Washington Generals for ten years.
Tim joined Hickory Hills in February 2011 as the General Manager and prior to that, he was employed as the General Manager / Head Professional at Boonville Country Club in North Carolina. Tim earned his PGA certification in 2005.
Tim resides in Galloway with his wife Lisa and children, Matthew and Nathan.

Michael V. Birk
Director of Golf
Born and raised in Wooster, Ohio, Mike has been around the game of golf all his life and has 39 years of experience as a PGA Golf Professional. He joined Hickory Hills in March 1988 as the head golf professional and has an extensive background in teaching golf to all ages, from junior golf to seniors.
Mike has two children Stephen and Michaela. When not giving lessons on the practice tee or tending to the pro shop, he enjoys sports, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Assistant Golf Professional
Adam grew up in Moraine, Ohio where he launched his golf career at the ripe old age of 12 as a caddy at Moraine Country Club. Through his work at Moraine Country Club and the Western Golf Association, Adam earned the Evans Scholarship and attended The Ohio State University. During college, Adam continued to work in the golf industry caddying at both Muirfield Village Golf Club and New Albany Country Club.
Adam joined Hickory Hills as the PGA Apprentice Assistant Professional in 2014 and is currently enrolled in the PGA / PGM program (level 3). As the assistant professional, Adam supplements our teaching staff by giving private lessons (both individual and group short game) as well as leading the junior golf program.
Adam married his wife Kara in 2008 and they have two children, Analeise and Calvin.

From Columbus Ohio, Cheryl joined the Hickory Hills staff in February of 1988. Her responsibilities as the Assistant Manager for Hickory Hills include financial management, member billing, payroll, accounts payable, Information Technology, and many other tasks that need to be completed Like most of our employees, Cheryl’s role often extends outside of the office. Mostly she ensures that each of our members needs are met and that their accounts are accurately maintained.
Cheryl lives in Grove City and has three children, Nicole, Kristen and Brian. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Food & Beverage Manager
Ron grew up in Columbus Ohio and joined Hickory Hills in 1978 to help get the club up and running. Since that time, Ron left Hickory and worked in the food and beverage industry until 1995 when he returned to Hickory as the Club Manager. Ron later would go on to work in management at the Safari Golf Club until 2013 when he more recently returned to Hickory in his current capacity as the Food & Beverage Manager.
Ron has a son, Abe. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Golf Course Superintendent
Born and raised in Pataskala, Ohio, Paul attended The Ohio State University where he graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors of Liberal Arts in History. It was during this time at Ohio State when Paul started his career in turf grass management by working part-time as a Spray Technician at New Albany Country Club. Following college, Paul joined the New Albany Country Club ground maintenance staff full-time to pursue his growing interest in turfgrass management.
During the winter of 2008, Paul left New Albany Country Club to take on additional responsibilities as an Operations Manager at Sports Turf Care in New Albany, where he worked until the spring of 2010. By leveraging his managerial experience and background in turfgrass management, Paul accepted a position as the Assistant Green Superintendent at New Albany Links Country Club, where he would work for the next five years furthering his experience in golf course turfgrass management operations.
Paul joined to Hickory Hills Golf Club in February 2016 as the Assistant Green Superintendent, and was promoted to Head Green Superintendent in the fall of that year. Shortly thereafter, Paul became a member of the Central Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association and is currently seeking nomination to the Central Ohio GCSA Board of Directors in 2017.
